Meet Our Team

  • Dr. Kyle W. Sanders

Dr. Kyle W. Sanders is our main veterinarian and the owner of Cordova Station.  He has been practicing veterinary medicine for 35 years.  When he is not working, he enjoys showing horses and riding his zero turn lawnmower.  You won't catch him without a Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tart, Mello Yello, or his Clic Reader Magnetic glasses around his neck.  He truly is one of a kind.

  • Dr. Steve Warner

Dr. Steve Warner has been practicing with us for 12 years.  He is a dedicated turkey sandwich connoisseur and when he is not here he enjoys playing tennis, canoeing, and going to the rifle range.  Dr. Warner walks everywhere he goes with a purpose and if you are in his way he WILL run you over.  If you look closely, you can see flames coming off the bottom of his shoes.

  • Dr. Mark Austin Lawrence

Dr. Mark Austin Lawrence is a graduate from the University of Mississippi in Starkville, MS where he is originally from. His medical interests include ultrasound and cytology. Dr. Lawrence loves all small animals, but said he has a soft spot for cats!

When not at work, Dr. Lawrence enjoys anything that involves meeting new people. He loves going to the zoo, aquarium, sporting events, game nights, and meals with family and friends. He currently lives in Cordova with his cat, Cookie.

  • Robbie

Robbie has been at Cordova Station since August 2007.  Robbie is our most informed employee on what is happening outside the office.  If you want know what is going on in America or Mecka-lecka-stan, she is your gal.  When she is not busy being treasurer of the #782 Trekkie Lovers Alliance, Robbie loves cooking and playing board/card games with her husband Kevin.  She has a dog named Shambler and two cats, Alton and Steve.

  • Tammie

Tammie is one of our kennel techs and she has been with us since July 2005!  Tammie enjoys shopping when she isn't entertaining us at work.   No other information can be shared, this employee's information is classified. DO not ask because we cannot say.  IF you do need to talk to Tammie please call the office line and say 'the eagle has landed' and she will get back with promptly.

  • Dominick

Dominick has been our groomer since June 2005.  He loves gardening when he isn't here beautifying.  He has one silver tipped Persian cat at home name Vladimir.  In his spare time Dominick (or Constantine as he likes to be referred to) loves shopping for castles, detailing his car, and trying to find the sneaky person who parked in his spot.

  • Jake

Jake is our receptionist that has been with us since August of 2019. You can recognize Jake because he is ALWAYS wearing a smile. This is most likely because he got to meet Carrie Underwood in person AND have his picture taken with her. I hear she has that effect! Prior to joining our family, Jake used to be a Spanish teacher to high school students. You can often hear him lulling the animals by serenading them in a sweet Spanish song. We don’t know his secret but he must have one considering all the animals, people, AND Carrie Underwood to love him!

  • Christopher Gerbrand Bailey

Christopher Gerbrand Bailey (yes…he wanted his full name), is one of our vet assistants and has been with us since November of 2019. Chris began working here when Cordova Animal Hospital closed after working there for 20 years. There isn’t a lot that we can tell you about Chris that he hasn’t already told you in grave detail. He could pretty much have a conversation with drywall…while underwater. Chris lives with his wife and their adorable chihuahua that they recently adopted named Chula. When we asked Chris if there was anything about himself that he hadn’t already told us 17 times, he said that he raised snails for 13 years and he loves to race them every other Sunday. He also said that he once ate his weight in Godfather’s pizza. We love to give him a hard time, but the clients ADORE him, and with good reason! His positive attitude and goofiness are contagious. We think we will keep him!

  • Michelle

Michelle is one of our receptionists and if she ain’t crocin’, she ain’t rockin’. She has been in the veterinary field for many years but with Cordova Station since October of 2020. Michelle has a wonderful husband and two dogs named Bella and Thumper. Some of her favorite things include buying shoes she does not need, taking excessive days off, and telling us that she is tired. She is an avid Hello Kitty collector and has an Amazon shopping addiction. Michelle’s husband is not a fan of her addiction, but she is accepting the consequences and choosing joy.

  • Brittany

Brittany is one of our kennel technicians. She has been with us since August of 2020. Brittany loves bathing dogs and helping the technicians restrain. She describes herself as quirky and nerdy. 95% of the time we have no idea what she is saying. We are reading the same book but are definitely not on the same page. In her spare time Brittany loves playing My Little Pony video games and watching Anime, although it often makes her cry. She has a fear of all things driving related, especially 18-wheelers and left-hand turns. Nevertheless, she always makes it to work in plenty of time with Starbucks in hand. We are grateful to get to enjoy her bubbly personality and constant confusion.

  • Tara

Tara joined our team as a vet assistant in February of 2021 but has been in the veterinary field for 26 years. We feel as though there is a lot to unpack here, but with Tara being our most quiet technician, quite frankly, she has not unpacked any of it. We do know Tara loves to travel with her husband and three kids and hates red scrubs. In the near future, we will circle back to this bio.

  • Elise

Ra- Ra- Ree, kick them in the knee. A former Mississippi State cheerleader turned vet assistant, Elise is one of our newest staff members. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her dog Archie and giving great life advice. Our favorite tip so far has been “no matter how sad you are, never cry yourself to sleep the night you get a spray tan”. If she is not busy helping the doctors you can often find her in the corner being non-confrontational and quietly eating her daily Baskin Robbins shake. Elise is a great worker and is the definition of dependable. Shortly after she started in February of 2021, we had a massive snowstorm. Chaz is a terrible manager and totally forgot to call and tell the ‘new girl’ we were closed. She still showed up to work even with 12” of snow on the ground. A true queen.

  • Kyle

Kyle has been a part of our team since December of 2021 and he is CONSTANTLY on X Games mode. He rode his Cannondale Mountain Bike from California all the way to Memphis, but somehow manages not to look both ways before he decides to get on my nerves. Rumor has it Kyle was on his way back from lunch one day, got hit by a car while riding his bike and wasn’t even late for his shift. *that’s not a rumor, it really happened* Not only does Kyle do great with any patient and client that come through the door, but he is also very handy fixing things we break around the office. When he is not at work Kyle enjoys going to the dog park and entertaining at various events around Memphis as the tail end of a two- man donkey suit.

  • Kim

The saying “I don’t need any part-time people in my life” is definitely not accurate when it comes to this lady. Kim aka ‘Momsie’ joined our team as a part-time receptionist in January of 2022. I am not going to say Momsie is the reason we all look forward to work certain days a week, but I’m also not-not saying that. Kim has been married for 29 years and has two amazing children, one of whom is also a part of our team! Although her car stays a hot mess, Kim is like the dependable mom at the soccer games that comes stocked with extra fruit, drinks, and cookies for everyone. Her ability to remain positive but also keep it real is why both the employees and clients love her!

  • Jordan

Jordan joined our team as a kennel technician in March of 2022. She is a dog mom and a fabulous human mother to her 3-year-old son Luka. From the minute she walks in the door Jordan bee bops up and down the hallway like she’s trying take on the world and outrun her responsibilities all at the same time. She’s always running late so she definitely has strength training covered. When Jordan isn’t working she enjoys watching movies, going to the dog park, and obsessing over which checklist she is going to have Chaz make next.

  • Stacey

Stacey is an honorary member of Cordova Station Animal Hospital. She is a mastermind of all things behind the scenes and the greatest Integrator Operator. Stacey recently received the Academy Award for “most feared yet most respected with a single introduction”, which sits in her living room next to her 8-foot 5-inch taxidermied alligator. On the weekend Stacey finds serenity in long drives home (knowing she will get to make the drive again in 48 hours), eating peach pie, and counting multi-doctor hospital inventory alone. We only have her with us for 30 days, but I would imagine she is ready to leave as her back is sore from carrying the weight of this clinic. Stacey also collects honey from multiple beehives she maintains at her home, and we think she is truly the bee’s knees.

We work on an appointment basis. We see walk-ins and dropoffs, however, we honor appointments first. Please keep in mind emergencies do occur and can upset our schedule. If you would like your pet to be seen by a specific doctor, please let us know when scheduling your appointment.
